Short Story for the Veterans' Writing Project
I've just had a story, One Out of Four Ain't Bad, published in O Dark Thirty Review, the quarterly literary journal of the Veterans' Writing Project. The focus of the project is to amplify the voices of our veterans, but they don't confine themselves to "military" stories, as shown by my submission.
This is another in my métier of writing about life in the Mississippi Delta. Here, the death of a father, its impact on his son, and his interaction with his estranged brothers is fodder for a family tale.
